Okay folks, I know its been a while since I last updated this blog. Unfortunatley, I had no proper wi-fi access and also ran into some power outlet issues. I almost started to feel computer withdrawal symptoms and wondering if I would ever get a moment to jump online.
Food:
Let me start of by saying that Carol and I did not leave Italy with the sense that we ate the best Pizza in Rome. The same goes for Pasta. I have yet to visit the rest of Rome, so I will not go further on the subject. Well embarassed to say, we both ended up in Mc Donalds a couple of times and interestingly so, the burger that we ordered was very very tasty. At this moment, I cannot recall what the name of the burger is but all I know is that there was Prociutto and some special white sauce in addtion to the burger meet and some special white sauce. The bun was not your regular bun either, it was almost like a foccacia bread but more like a softer burger-like version of it. It really was off the hook. Wish I could have it here. We definitely gave it a two thumbs up!! On the otherside, if you want ketchup which I think was all they offered in terms of packaged sauce, you have to pay a whopping 0,20! I opened my wallet, handed over the change and thought to myself, did I really just do that?
So finally Carol returns from the WC and she says in an out of breath voice that she went through hell to use the bathroom. Apparently she needed exact change and it just so happen the change machine was broken. Can you imagine that even the supermarket refused to give her change as she stood there alternating from one leg to the next trying to hold her pee and looking so desperate? Luckily, she eventually got change for the WC and did not end up in a bad situation in the train terminal.

Accomodations:
The room did not look anything like what we saw online. The bed was like kid sized, we even had to join them to make it more comfortable for the both of us. The toilet and shower were literally glued to each other, and the shower was really absuredly small. I kept hitting my elbows against the slide doors and I'm considered small in size. Can you imagine a big grown man?
Let me mention that we finally seen the most narrowist elevator in our hotel room. Carol and I could barely fit without our bodies touching each other. Forget about going together with luggage. I've posted a picture of her in the elevator, it was actully smaller than the shower and look at how it is not even retangular in shape. Don't let the mirrors fool you either, her elbow is actually touching the glass. Well, I'm really exhausted from all the walking I did in Barcelona city for the first day and I can't begin to tell you how badly I want to go to sleep now. I hope this will keep you satisfied until next time...
